LAFC2 Retains Kenneth Nielsen And Bryan Moyado 

2025 LAFC2 Kenny Nielsen Bryan Moyado signed

LAFC2 has exercised its option to retain defender Kenneth Nielsen through 2025 and has also re-signed midfielder Bryan Moyado to a two-year contract through 2026.

Originally selected by LAFC in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft as the 57th overall pick, Nielsen, 22, later signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract with LAFC2, making three appearances (two starts) across all competitions for the club, and registering a total of 180 minutes played. The defender was also available on the bench for one LAFC match last season on a short-term loan agreement.

On the international stage, the Irvine, CA, native has represented the United States at the U-15 and U-17 levels.

Prior to being drafted by LAFC, Nielsen played four seasons at Georgetown University.

Bryan Moyado
Moyado, 19, signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract in 2023 after initially joining the LAFC Academy in 2016. The midfielder made his professional debut with LAFC2 in 2023 and has made 17 total appearances (10 starts) for the club, registering two assists.

The La Puente, CA, native was selected to represent the Black & Gold in the 2022 inaugural MLS NEXT All-Star Game and was named a 2021-22 MLS NEXT Most Valuable Player.

Internationally, Moyado has represented the United States at the U-19 and U-20 levels.
