LAFC2 suffered a 3-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City II on Sunday night at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, CA.
The visitors took the lead in the 34th minute when Maouloune Goumballe found the back of the net.
In the second half, Tommy Mihalic netted his team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 57th minute, bringing the game level for LAFC2.
The match took a turn for the worse in the 62nd minute when Sebastian Nava was shown a red card, leaving the Black & Gold with 10 men. SKC II capitalized on the advantage with Medgy Alexandre scoring the decisive goal in the 77th minute.
The visitors added another with a goal from Cielo Tschantret in the 84th minute, securing the win and ending LAFC2's two-game unbeaten streak.
The Black & Gold drops to 6W-9L-3D (23 points), and next takes on the Town FC at Titan Stadium on Sunday, August 3. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT and can be streamed on Apple TV – MLS Season Pass.
