LAFC2 suffered a 3-1 defeat against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Thursday night at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, CA.
The visitors struck early with Mark O’Neill opening the scoring in the 5th minute. Vancouver extended its lead through Yuma Tsuji in the 15th minute and Rayan Elloumi in the 28th.
Gavin Zambrano pulled one back for the Black & Gold in the 56th minute, but LAFC2 was unable to close the gap.
The Black & Gold drops to 7W-12L-3D (26 points) and next takes on the North Texas SC at Choctaw Stadium on Sunday, August 24. Kickoff is set for 5:45 p.m. PT and can be streamed on MLSNEXTPRO.com.
