LAFC2 defeated the Tacoma Defiance in a 3-2 thriller on Thursday night at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, CA.

Tacoma struck first in the 16th minute, with Osaze De Rosario converting a penalty kick. The match took a tough turn for the Black & Gold in the 41st minute when Marius Aiyenero was shown a red card, bringing LAFC2 down to 10 men.

Despite being a man down, LAFC2 came out strong after the break. Charlie Rosenthal netted his first goal of the season in the 47th minute to even the score, and just five minutes later, Matt Evans put the Black & Gold ahead 2-1.

De Rosario responded in the 58th minute, completing his brace and notching his league-leading fifth goal of the season to bring the game level once again.

The Defiance were also reduced to 10 men in the 66th minute after Leo Burney was shown a red card.

Evans completed his brace in the 88th minute, calmly converting a penalty to cement the final 3-2 win for LAFC2.

The Black & Gold improves to 2W-1L-1D (7 pts) and next takes on the Real Monarchs at Zions Bank Stadium on Wednesday, April 23. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. PT.
