OKA NIKOLOV
ASSISTANT COACH / HEAD OF GOALKEEPING
Oka Nikolov joined LAFC as an Assistant Coach and Head of Goalkeeping prior to the club's 2022 MLS Cup championship season, bringing eight years of MLS coaching experience after serving as the goalkeeper coach for the Philadelphia Union (2016-17 and 2019-2020), Galaxy (2018), and D.C. United (2021). Nikolov was also the goalkeeper coach for Germany’s U-19 squad and Macedonia’s National Team in 2014 and 2015. The German-born Macedonia International spent the majority of his 22-year professional career tending goal for Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt. Originally joining the club at the age of 17, Nikolov made 414 appearances across all competitions for the Eagles including 229 appearances over 19 years in the Bundesliga. Internationally, Nikolov appeared in five games for Macedonia.
