For LAFC, the MLS is Back Tournament officially kicks off on Monday, July 13, against the Houston Dynamo (5 pm PT on FS1, TUDN, ESPN Radio app and KFWB 980 AM). But Bob Bradley has been preparing the team since June 4, when MLS lifted the team training moratorium.
The full squad trained at the LAFC Performance Center for the subsequent month before proceeding to Orlando, Florida. The most notable omission from the traveling group was Carlos Vela, who released a statement explaining his decision to stay in Los Angeles with his family.
“Certainly, Carlos is an important player,” LAFC head coach Bob Bradley said. “But the way we train and the way we prepare is to be a good team when Carlos isn’t on the field, and we have had some moments when that is the case.”
LAFC will be without the 2019 MLS MVP, but Bradley is confident in the players that are available.
Below is a full list of the 25 players who are available for selection in the MLS is Back Tournament.
