Continuing its mission of being a Force for Good in the Los Angeles community, LAFC kicked off the new year by participating in the 38th annual Kingdom Day Parade, honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade, hosted by The Congress of Racial Equality of California (CORE-CA), has grown into the largest and longest-running birthday celebration in the nation.
The Club also partnered with L.A. Works to host “MLK Day of Service,” a nonprofit fair and food festival. Taking place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the purpose of the fair was to educate the community about local activity to combat climate change and empower Angelenos to take collective action in the fight for food and climate justice.
