LAFC assistant coach Marc Dos Santos has been named the new head coach of the Vancouver Whitecaps.
On Wednesday, the Whitecaps officially unveiled Dos Santos. He replaces Carl Robinson after the Whitecaps parted ways with the Welsh international in September of this year.
“Marc brought a great deal of passion, intensity, and expertise to LAFC," LAFC head coach Bob Bradley said of Dos Santos. "We thoroughly enjoyed working with him in our inaugural season and are excited for his new opportunity. We thank Marc for his time here with the Club and wish him all the best in Vancouver.”
Before joining Bob Bradley's staff, Dos Santos led the San Francisco Deltas to the 2017 NASL Soccer Bowl championship. Dos Santos' coaching resume also has stops in his native Canada, Brazil, and the USL with Sporting KC affiliate Swope Park Rangers.
