We couldn't have asked for a better opening match to the 2019 season to talk about on the second episode of the Inside LAFC podcast.
Max and I get right into LAFC's thrilling last-second win over Sporting KC. But it's not just about the match. Both of us spent the first half of the matchday down in the LAFC tailgate outside of Banc of California Stadium. There was food, dancing, and a great atmosphere. And best of all, it felt like family, as everyone was so welcoming. Max even led the conga line.
LAFC matchdays at Banc of California Stadium are can't-miss, and you need to get there early to make a full day out of it. You won't regret it.
From there we talk about Dio's game-winner and why this performance was so important to LAFC' start to the season. We also talked rivalries with Portland coming to town on Sunday. Is SKC a budding rival? After three matches with LAFC, we think so. Max and I ranked LAFC's current rivalries and tried to find world football equivalents.
And finally, we welcomed our first guest. LAFC defender Walker Zimmerman joined the show to talk about the win in the home opener and deliver a special announcement - you'll want to listen to the entire show to hear it.
