LAFC has secured a three-year extension of its partnership with California-based, multinational energy corporation Chevron, a partner of LAFC since 2018.
In partnership with LAFC, Chevron has completed six futsal court refurbishments and equipment donations to schools and parks throughout Southern California since joining forces in 2019. Chevron will continue to showcase its community commitment by serving as the presenting partner of two soccer pitch refurbishments across the three-year term, throughout the greater Southern California region.
“We are thrilled that Chevron will remain a part of the Black & Gold family,” said LAFC Co-President & CBO Larry Freedman. “Since 2018 we have worked together with Chevron to be a Force for Good in our region by providing resources and opportunities for youth soccer players. Chevron shares LAFC’s goal of elevating our community through the world’s game, and we look forward to continuing to support and inspire others through our work together.”
The partnership reaffirms Chevron’s commitment to local communities by providing local youth safe places to gather and participate in the world’s game.

In addition to the refurbishments, LAFC will continue to participate in the Chevron Soccer Academy in Southern California. The Chevron Soccer Academy’s mission is to create accessible soccer opportunities and providing the proper resources, knowledge and support system for players to learn and grow.
The partnership also includes additional community-focused programs and player appearances as well as match-day fan engagement elements at BMO Stadium throughout the upcoming Major League Soccer seasons.
