LAFC today announced the renewal of its flagship radio broadcast partners, 710 AM ESPN and KFWB 980 AM. LAFC matches will continue to be broadcast in English on LAFC’s radio home and Southern California’s number one sports station, 710 AM ESPN, and in Spanish on KFWB 980 AM ‘La Mera Mera’.
Rounding out LAFC’s local radio programming, the Club will continue to partner with 670 AM KIRN as part of the station’s weekly sports report.
Sports radio veteran Dave Denholm will continue to feature as the English radio voice of the Black & Gold. Denholm has over two decades of experience in sports, news, and talk radio as well as extensive experience calling soccer matches on FOX Sports and other networks.
The number one sports station in Southern California, 710 AM ESPN, features LAFC matches and additional weekly LAFC programming including the MAK Show starring MLS All-Star midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye, along with the leading sports talk shows in Los Angeles as well as Lakers, Rams and Angels games. 710 AM ESPN’s 50,000-watt signal continues to provide LAFC with a powerful partner in the Southern California sports landscape.
Long-time ESPN Deportes host Armando Aguayo will continue to handle play-by-play duties for the broadcast on 980 AM. A familiar voice to sports fans in Los Angeles, Aguayo has experience calling Clippers, Galaxy, and UCLA football and basketball matches.
LAFC’s Spanish language radio broadcasts will continue to be heard on KFWB 980 AM La Mera Mera and feature a 30-minute pre-game show and a 30-minute post-game show. In addition, an LAFC Weekly Show (Accion LAFC) will air on KFWB every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. PT.
