LAFC announced today that defender Eddie Segura underwent successful surgery to repair a tear of his right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on Monday, Aug. 2. Segura is expected to miss the remainder of the MLS season. The procedure was performed locally at Kaiser Permanente – Baldwin Park Medical Center.
Since joining LAFC in 2019, Segura had appeared in 71 straight MLS regular season games, playing in every single match he was available for before missing LAFC’s last match on July 28. In his MLS career, the 24-year-old Colombian has scored a total of three goals and registered one assist in 6,123 total minutes.
