U.S. Soccer today announced that LAFC defender Tristan Blackmon has been selected as part of the 12-man senior team group ahead of the USMNT’s annual January camp. Blackmon, 24, earns his first-ever international call-up and will be reporting to IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL on January 9.

In his third season with the Black & Gold, Blackmon appeared in 14 regular season games, taking his career total to 42 MLS matches (31 starts). Last month, the 6-foot-1 defender played in all three knockout matches of the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League, logging 268 out of 270 possible minutes.
