LAFC Invites Gaming Fans To Represent Club In New Cross-Town Charity Competition

LAFC is inviting gamers to represent the Black & Gold in the new Cross-Town Charity Competition hosted by the Club’s official esports tournament provider Esports Entertainment Group, Inc. (EEG).

Registration is now open for the free one-day, single elimination FIFA22 tournament scheduled to take place on October 17. The top two LAFC gamers on each console (Xbox, PlayStation4) will move on to represent LAFC in the Cross-Town Charity Competition Grand Finals on Oct. 24 and take on finalists representing the Galaxy to determine which club has the rivalry’s best FIFA gamers. A donation will be made on behalf of the winning club to the charity of their choice. Charitable funds won by LAFC will be donated to support Gamers Outreach - a charity that empowers hospitalized children through video games.

All four LAFC finalists will play in-person in the Grand Finals of the rivalry competition at the McDonalds Stream Room at LAFC Headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. Each finalist will take home a LAFC autographed ball, custom LAFC jersey and two (2) tickets to watch LAFC take on the Vancouver Whitecaps in the final regular season home match of the year on Nov. 2, 2021.

In addition to the donation earned by the finalists of the Cross-Town Charity Competition, LAFC Gaming will donate a Gamers Outreach “Go Kart” – a portable video game kiosk built specifically for use in hospitals - to a local hospital in the Los Angeles area.
