LAFC Loans Shaft Brewer Jr. To Phoenix Rising FC

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced today that attacker Shaft Brewer Jr. has been loaned to Phoenix Rising FC of the United Soccer League (USL).


Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, LAFC retains the right to recall Brewer Jr. at any point during the remainder of the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.


Brewer Jr., made his LAFC debut in the 2-1 loss against FC Dallas on June 2. In his first year in MLS, the 18-year-old attacker has appeared in three regular season contests since signing with the Black & Gold on March 21, 2018.


Brewer Jr. has also earned call-ups to the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team, including camps in Spain and France, Florida and North Carolina.


Prior to LAFC, Brewer Jr. spent time with the youth academies of Sacramento Republic FC, FC Dallas and RB Leipzig in Germany.
