The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced today that goalkeeper Luis López has been loaned to Orange County SC of the United Soccer League (USL). Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, LAFC retains the right to recall López at any point during the remainder of the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.

López, 24, was acquired by LAFC on January 24, 2018 from Real España of the Honduran first division. The 24-year-old goalkeeper has yet to feature for the Black & Gold due to a tibial stress fracture suffered during the 2017 campaign.

In his first five professional seasons, López appeared in 124 matches for Real España, helping Los Aurinegros win the Apertura 2017 for the first time in four years.

Internationally, the 5-foot-11 goalkeeper made his senior team debut on September 4, 2015 and was the starting goalkeeper at the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where he helped Los Catrachos advance to the quarterfinals.
