LAFC announced that the club has loaned defender Luca Bombino to San Diego FC in exchange for a 2025 international roster spot. The loan, which begins immediately, runs through 2025 and provides San Diego with a permanent transfer option.
Bombino, 18, is a former LAFC Academy player who signed a Homegrown contract with LAFC on Sep. 13, 2024. Bombino originally joined the LAFC Academy ahead of the 2018 season at the U-12 level from FC Valencia. He progressed to play for LAFC at the U-17 levels before signing with LAFC2 of MLS NEXT Pro in 2023. Bombino has been a key member of the United U-20 Youth National Team, helping lead them to the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship Final in 2024.
