LAFC selected defender Giuliano Fravolini Whitchurch with the 24th overall pick and midfielder Iain Wagner with the 84th pick (3rd round) in the MLS SuperDraft 2026.
Whitchurch, a defender for Princeton University, earned First Team All-Ivy honors his junior and senior seasons. A native of San Diego, he anchored one of the best defenses in the nation as the Tigers recorded a program-best 13 shutouts and allowed just four goals during the 2025 regular season as a senior. He also helped Princeton win the 2025 Ivy League Championship and its second-consecutive Ivy League Tournament, marking the first time a team has won both competitions in the same season.
The 6-foot-3 center back played a total of 57 matches for the Tigers, scoring two goals in his collegiate career. Before college, Whitchurch was a member of famed San Diego youth academy Albion SC, captaining the 2021 U-19 team to a MLS NEXT Southwest Division title.
