LAFC will join thirteen other MLS clubs along with six clubs from the NWSL for preseason matches and training sessions this February as part of the 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI) taking place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. This is the fourth preseason in which LAFC will attend the Coachella Vally Invitational, having previously taken part in every edition since the event was founded in 2022.
“We are looking forward to participating in the Coachella Valley Invitational again in 2025 as we prepare for the upcoming season,” LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington said. “The event is a great opportunity for us to face top competition in a fan-friendly environment.”
The initial schedule of all 26 men’s and women’s matches (listed below) features LAFC facing the Chicago Fire on the first match day, Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the Black & Gold’s only game at this year’s event. Passes for all exhibition matches will go on sale this Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. PT at coachellavalleyinvitational.com.
In its first seven years in Major League Soccer, LAFC has captured one MLS Cup (2022), two Supporters’ Shields (2019 & 2022), two Western Conference Championships (2022 & 2023), one U.S. Open Cup (2024) and is the only MLS team to play in two Concacaf Champions Cup Finals. Since 2018, LAFC leads MLS in regular season wins (112), points (389) and goals scored (438).
