LAFC played D.C. United to a 0-0 draw at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on Saturday night. The result places LAFC’s record at 10W-7L-6D in league play, and the club remains in the top four of the MLS Western Conference standings, with 11 regular-season matches remaining.
After a scoreless first half, LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris kept it that way in the 49th minute with a one-handed reaction save of a first-time shot in the area from Jackson Hopkins. Seconds later, an LAFC transition opportunity ended with Jeremy Ebobisse's shot sailing over the crossbar.
Following a 61st-minute LAFC corner kick, a volleyed drive by Son Heung-Min looked destined for the center of the net before being headed away by DCU's Andre Dozzell. Lloris came up big again in the 63rd minute when DCU forward Louis Munteanu received a giveaway atop LAFC's area and drove a low shot that the diving Frenchman batted wide with his right hand.
The draw marked Lloris' MLS-leading 11th regular-season clean sheet. LAFC, which has played more matches than any other MLS club in 2026, has scored one goal in four regular-season matches since Leagues Cup ended on August 12.
LAFC returns to action on Saturday, September 5, when the club visits Real Salt Lake in Sandy, Utah. That match is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on Apple TV, as well as Coupang Play and SPOTV for fans in Korea. Local radio coverage will be available on 710 AM ESPN, the ESPN LA app, KYPA 1230 AM (Korean), and 980 AM La Mera Mera (Spanish).

- The shutout was the 11th of the season for LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. That number leads MLS this season and ties his career high for shutouts in a single season for the Black & Gold. It was his 33rd clean in his third season with the club.
- In the last meeting between LAFC and D.C. United at BMO Stadium on Aug. 16, 2022, Black & Gold midfielder Eddie Segura, who played 77 minutes as a starter tonight, started and played 84 minutes, while defender Ryan Hollingshead, who played the full 90 tonight, saw six minutes of action off the bench.
