LAFC kicked off its 2025 MLS regular season and extended its league-record winning streak in debut games with a 1-0 defeat of Minnesota United Saturday afternoon at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Forward Jeremy Ebobisse, playing his first game in black and gold since signing with LAFC as a free agent in the offseason, netted the game’s only goal with a left-footed strike from the top of the box in the 78th minute.
LAFC’s defense held the visiting Loons to just one shot on target, sealing the club’s eighth win in as many MLS season openers (8W-0L-0D) since joining Major League Soccer in 2018.
Up next for LAFC is the second leg of its Concacaf Champions Cup Round 1 matchup with the Colorado Rapids. That match will be played Tuesday, Feb. 25, at BMO Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
