LAFC dropped a 3-2 road result to Eastern Conference leaders Nashville SC on Sunday night at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
Hany Mukhtar opened the scoring in the 13th minute, putting Nashville SC ahead 1-0.
Mukhtar doubled the advantage in the 21st minute, curling a free kick into the top left corner to make it 2-0.
The Black & Gold answered back immediately. Just a minute later, David MartÃnez finished a close-range effort off a clinical assist from Denis Bouanga, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Nashville extended their lead again in the 59th minute, as Mukhtar secured his hat trick with another successful free kick to put the score at 3-1. LAFC continued the battle, and in the 68th minute, Bouanga scored, striking from the left side of the six-yard box after a setup from Son Heung-Min.
Despite a continuous attacking push in the closing stages, Nashville held firm to secure the 3-2 result and bring LAFC's regular-season record to 6W-5L-3D.
LAFC returns home to host the Seattle Sounders at BMO Stadium on Sunday, May 24, in both clubs' final match before a two-month break for the FIFA World Cup. A fireworks show will follow the match, which coincides with Pride Night at BMO Stadium.
