Brian Rodriguez Called In To Senior Squad By Uruguay 8/16/19

Though we've yet to see what Brian Rodríguez can do in Black & Gold. On Friday, we found out Uruguay thinks he has a bright future with La Celeste.

Rodríguez is part of a squad of 24 players called in by Óscar Tabárez for friendlies against Costa Rica (Sept. 6) and the U.S. (Sept. 10). It is first senior-level call up for the 19-year-old. 

A breakout star at the U20 World Cup, the recently signed LAFC Designated Player will join a strong attack with the likes of Edinson Cavani and Luis Suárez. Rodríguez won't be the only MLS player on the squad, Seattle's Nico Lodeiro was also selected.

LAFC play away at Orlando City on Sept. 7 before traveling to take on the Philadelphia Union on Sept. 14.
