While the LAFC first team has assured itself of playoff soccer in its inaugural season and is still in the mix for the top spot in the Western Conference, the younger members of the Club are setting a high standard this season as well.
On Thursday, TopDrawerSoccer.com ranked the LAFC Academy No. 1 in the nation in U13, U14, and U15 age groups.
The distinction comes on the heels of the Academy's great showing at the 2018-2019 Generation adidas Cup qualifying in Utah where the U15s were a perfect three wins out of three and outscored opponents 11-0.
In addition to the U15s performance in GA Cup qualifying, the LAFC Academy became the first American side to win the U13 Concacaf Champions League this summer. As a result of the Top Drawer Soccer rankings, the LAFC Academy is currently No. 1 in the U.S. in all its eligible age groups.
