The LAFC U15s travel to Texas today to start their 2019 Generation adidas Cup finals quest.
As the top qualifier in the U15 division, the LAFC Academy is one of the teams to watch in this year's GA Cup. Four MLS academy teams will take on four Liga MX counterparts in the inaugural edition of the U15 age group in the tournament.
As part of the buildup to the GA Cup, MLSsoccer.com has slated the LAFC Academy's opening match against Mexican powerhouse Cruz Azul (streaming live on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00am PT) as one of the "Top 5 Matches To Watch" of the entire tournament. The LAFC U-15s were a dominant force in qualifying and are the favorites among the four MLS teams. It will be a sight to see how LAFC stack up against La Máquina in the first match of the U-15 competition between MLS and Liga MX teams.
After its match with Cruz Azul, the LAFC Academy plays twice the following day against Leon and Monterrey, before finishing the group stage against Chivas of Guadalajara on Friday. The final between the top MLS and Liga MX sides in group play is set for Saturday at 10:30am PT.
