LAFC, together with the LAFC Sports Foundation, through the Black and Gold Community Relief Fund, are partnering with Feeding the Frontlines to provide meals for frontline hospital staff from Monday, June 29 – Thursday, July 2.
Participating hospitals and medical facilities include: White Memorial Medical Center (Boyle Heights), Dignity Health CHMC (Downtown), Keck Hospital Testing Tents (Downtown/Lincoln Heights), VA Medical Center (West LA) and VA LA Ambulatory Care Center (Downtown). Lunch meals will be provided by: Azule Taqueria, Broken Spanish, Tempo Cantina, Hilltop and South LA Café.
This meal donation is the latest initiative driven by the Black and Gold Community Relief Fund, which since its launch in early May has already completed three blood drives in partnership with the American Red Cross, fed thousands of families through partnering with Supervisor Mark-Ridley Thomas’ Veggie Box Donation and the LAFC Food Delivery Service Program, provided financial assistance to the LAFC community in need and has provided a number of volunteer opportunities to local organizations.
