The Los Angeles Football Club fell 1-0 to Club León in the second leg of the Concacaf Champions League Final on Sunday night at BMO Stadium. Leon, who won the first leg 2-1 in Mexico on Wednesday night, won the series 3-1 on aggregate to win the Champions League for the first time in club history.

  • This was LAFC’s second entry into the Concacaf Champions League, having also reached the Final in 2020.
  • LAFC is the second MLS club to reach a Concacaf Final twice.
  • LAFC finished the 2023 Concacaf Champions League with a 4-3-1 record, outscoring opponents 15-6.
  • Dénis Bouanga finished as the top goalscorer in the 2023 Champions League with seven goals.
  • John McCarthy was selected as the top goalkeeper in the tournament, keeping four clean sheets in eight matches.
  • Giorgio Chiellini became the first player to start in both the Concacaf Champions League Final and the UEFA Champions League Final, having done so with Juventus in 2017.
  • This was just the second time in 13 Champions League games in which LAFC has been shutout and the first since the club’s first-ever Champions League game in February 2020, away to León.
